James says, "God tempts no one, yet the garden shows him allowing temptation." How do you reconcile these? Judgment is trial and temptation is trial also. God tempts no one with evil. But God tries everyone with judgment. When James said, "God tempts no one," he meant with evil. Evil gifts do not come from God, neither is God tempted with evil. To be tempted with evil is to be enticed with lust in the tempted, and when the lust conceives, it yields sin. For example, God first tried the man in the garden before Satan's temptation in the garden. Basically, God used all the trees and all the beasts he brought into the garden to try the man. Satan only used one beast, the serpent, he brought into the garden to try the woman. Eve failed the trial. But the woman was not content to fail alone. She made the man to fail with her, thinking she was helping
