All Things and the Things Above. Before, only the things that are revealed belonged to us, while the secret things belonged to God, according to Deuteronomy 29:29;
but now all things belong to us, whether they are secret or not, according to First Corinthians 3:21–22.
They do not have to be revealed to us before they belong to us. Rather, since all things belong to Christ, and we also belong to Christ as His Body’s members, it means all things that belong to Christ belong to us who belong to Christ.
And all things that belong to God belong to Christ because Christ belongs to God.
First Corinthians 3:21–23: “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; and you are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.”
However, we still need revelation of those secret things, not to make them belong to us, but to know them that belong to us who belong to Christ and to God.
The revelation and seeing of those secret things that God prepared for us and for Himself are so important for the ministry of the Spirit of God.
First Corinthians 2:9–12, A F V 2020: “But according as it is written, ‘The eye has not seen, nor the ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’
But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things—even the deep things of God.
For who among men understands the things of man except by the spirit of man which is in him? In the same way also, the things of God no one understands except by the Spirit of God.
Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is of God, so that we might know the things graciously given to us by God.”
The Things Above Things Under His Feet. Talking about revelations and seeing these things: we must learn how to look and how to see these things, improving or graduating from seeing lower things to seeing more excellent and ascended things with unveiled eyes.
One. We are not looking at the things that are seen now, but at the things that are not seen: for the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are not seen are eternal, Second Corinthians 4:18.
Two. We see beyond things under the sun—under Heaven—to see things under His Feet;
for God puts all things under the Feet of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Three. We see beyond all things under His Feet to seek and see those things which are above, where Christ sits on the Right Hand of God, Colossians 3:1.
Therefore, we set our affection on things above, not on things on the Earth and not on things beneath. Things on Earth are under the sun, but things above are above things under His Feet.
Since all things are under His Feet, why should we keep looking under His Feet when we can look at His Face and at those things above?
Colossians 3:1–2: “If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the Right Hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the Earth.”
