Episode Five: The Grace That Saves Also Teaches. Grace is not only help received;

Grace arrives with instructions and commandments.

One. When the Grace of God appeared to all people, it brought two inseparable realities: salvation and teaching.

Many recognise the salvation of Grace

while refusing to see the instruction of Grace.

Two. Titus 2:11–13 says God’s Grace has been revealed, bringing salvation to everyone.

The same Grace teaches us to reject a godless way of life

and the desires of this world.

Three. Grace instructs us to live thoughtful, self-controlled lives

that are right before God in the present world.

Four. Grace also teaches us to look toward the wonderful hope

of the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Five. A grace that only excuses but never teaches is not the full Grace described in Titus. Saving Grace trains the person it saves.

Six. Grace must also be recognised as commandment and instruction.

Proverbs 1:8–9 tells a son to listen to his father’s instruction and not forsake his mother’s teaching.

Seven. Those instructions become a garland of Grace upon the head

and a pendant around the neck.

Grace therefore adorns the person through received and obeyed teaching.

Eight. The Law of Grace saves, teaches, restrains, directs, and expects fruit.

Receive its salvation, submit to its instruction, and wear its commandments as the visible beauty of a life brought under Truth.
