Wisdom Nuggets, Part One: Anointing Must Host His Presence. One. The anointing is not merely a gift you possess;
it is a living relationship that must remain close to God.
Two. The truest measure of anointing is not public influence, but the degree of nearness between you and God.
Three. Every true anointing carries one central purpose: to attract and host the Presence of God.
Four. God’s Spirit is the essential living Substance within spiritual anointing;
without His Presence, the form remains but the life is gone.
Five. An anointing may still display influence after intimacy has declined,
so visible power is not final proof of divine approval.
Six. When David was anointed, the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him
from that day forward. First Samuel 16:13.
Seven. When the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul,
another spirit troubled him. First Samuel 16:14.
Eight. The greater the distance from God, the greater the danger that spiritual influence will be manipulated by another presence.
Nine. Anointing creates attraction; if it no longer draws God’s Presence, lesser spirits may seek to exploit its remaining influence.
Ten. Some people glory in the reach of their gift while neglecting the Presence that gave the gift its holy purpose.
Eleven. Never judge spiritual health merely
by crowds, results, power, charisma, or continuing performance.
Twelve. Judge the work by God’s Presence,
God’s character,
and the fruit made manifest through the vessel.
