Episode One: The Keys That Reach Earth and Heaven. The authority that operates on earth can determine what remains closed or opened in Heaven.
One. Jesus did not promise Peter the keys of Heaven; He promised the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Whatever those keys bind on earth is bound in Heaven,
and whatever they loose on earth is loosed in Heaven. Matthew 16:19.
Two. The keys of Heaven are kept inside Heaven.
Every door belonging to Heaven must be opened from within Heaven rather than forced from outside.
Three. The keys of the Kingdom of Heaven are different:
they have been placed outside Heaven, in the hands of Christ’s true Church on earth according to the Gospel.
Four. These Kingdom keys possess an unusual efficiency
because their authority operates in both realms.
They act here on earth, yet Heaven honours what they lawfully bind and loose.
Five. Therefore, some locks cannot be opened from Heaven
until the Kingdom keys first open them on earth.
Spiritual responsibility cannot always be transferred upward
when Christ has entrusted the necessary key to His Church below.
Six. The locks beyond the reach of angelic keys
concern the mysteries and wisdom of God hidden throughout the ages.
As those mysteries are unveiled,
it becomes clear that all things are ordered
according to God’s hidden wisdom.
