ANSWER:
To be dead means to be detached, severed, disconnected, cast out, or fallen from the height of a body’s essence or source of life. It is the disconnection, not the disappearance, of a person from his living body or life source. Adam’s death took three or more detachments or disconnections that stripped him of life while he descended into death. Adam became a dying man. His death was a process before it was completed, unlike Abel, who died instantly because Cain killed him.
