Why did God warn the man about the forbidden tree but did not warn the man about the serpent or Satan? We already know why it was important for God to warn the man about the forbidden tree. As for warning the man about the serpent, it was not necessary at all. As long as the man was warned of the forbidden tree, no other warning about any beast was needed. No warning about any being in the garden was needed until the woman came. If there was any beast or being God should have warned the man to beware of, it was the woman. Death was meant to come to the man through the woman. Yet she was called his helper. She was presented as the helper suitable for the man among all beasts and beings brought in. To the man, the woman was both helper for him and helper against him.
