DANIEL 2:4

Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, “O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.” [Daniel 2:4 NKJV]

Then spoke the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation. [AKJV]

The Chaldeans that were perhaps Astrologers spoke up on behalf of all the other senators or council of counsellors to the king on mystic or esoteric matters. However, the beginning of their speech was also the beginning of the switch of tongue into Aramaic or Syriack, which was a language sense in Syria or Aram where Abraham, Rebekah and Laban, sprung from.

I have seen priests and prophets switch from one tongue into another tongue (including unknown tongues) when they act like they are in their more spiritual, more sensitive or more spirit-language mode. I have also seen more powerful things happen as soon as they begin communicating in those languages or tongues with the Spiritual or spirits.

However the tongue those Chaldeans switched to did not need interpretation before their king or audience, rather the king's dream was what needed interpretation. They were not increasing what needed interpretation when they spoke in another tongue before the king and audience; rather their speaking in another tongue somehow gave them "Leverage" or "Boldness or Confidence" before the king that they were ready and able to show the interpretation of whatever dream the king had.

You will be amazed how speaking in another tongue or language builds the spirits and leverage of some men. Even among us, speaking in other tongues have ways of edifying some of us, but not all of us. As is written;

[1 Corinthians 14:4-5] — "He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church. I would that you all spoke with tongues but rather that you prophesied: for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying."

Meanwhile, here's the translation and interpretation of what the Chaldeans began to speak in Syriack or Aramaic tongue:

"O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation."

*1* They flattered the king when they said, "O king, live forever!" Praise singers and sycophants do have ways of coming around those in power to flatter those in power or government with undue praises and lying good reports, but for their own selfish gains and interests and for appearing relevant to those they flatter in power or government. Those Chaldeans were some of them: such are those who even if the interpretation of the dream show the king must die they would still tell him to live forever, he shall not die.

No man can live forever without the eternal life in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Infact, one of the reasons God drove Mankind from the Garden of Eden was because God would not leave a chance for mankind to eat of the tree of life and live forever. Therefore, instead of telling a king that is not of the Kingdom of God to "Live forever," rather say "Long live the king." "Long live the king" is truer than "O king, live forever."

*2* They promised to tell the King the interpretation of the king's dream but if and when the king first tells them his dream. There's some sort of "Bartering One information for another" contemplated in their speech.

It's unfortunate that many hired agents or hired ministers have ways of extorting information from desperate people, in disguise of promising to help them or provide revelations/solutions to them. The data or information they would have collected from their desperate seekers would have been far more greater than whatever revelation, information, help or promise they actually have to offer them. The Serpent with his craftiness got information from the woman before deceiving her with some of the information she already gave him. Have you fallen into revealing all your basic data or information to Recruiting Company, who made you fill forms and collected so much information about you including information about your family that has no direct bearing to the work you are applying for, only for them to have all those information about you but they never replied you nor call you for interviews or for the Job. Even some of these Social media have ways of insisting on collecting information about you, and perhaps use your information in marketing or monitoring you.

The Chaldeans were curious to know the details of information about the king's dream, promising to give him interpretation or revelation. Who else is interested in the information about what God told you in secret or in spirit (in dreams) apart from the Serpent that wanted to know exactly what God said to the Woman (and the Man) secretly in the Garden? The old prophet used approaching and sense to get the young man of God from Judah into revealing the secret code (instruction) God told him in Judah about not eating or drinking there in Samaria; and the old prophet capitalized on that information he received from the young man to distort the truth and claimed a false revelation involving some key notes from the young man's previous information to him. Eli was an old priest who knew God spoke with Samuel the young prophet, and he forced Samuel to tell him what God told Samuel in secret. See becareful how you tell pastors, prophets, priests or any man/woman, information about you and your family.

Nebuchadnezzar was not as foolish as that young man of God from Judah, for he would not leak the information in his dreams to those wise men or Chaldeans, knowing they are very crafty and would conjure up stories with details of the information he must have opened to them.
