DANIEL 2:7
They answered again and said, “Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will give its interpretation.” [Daniel 2:7 NKJV]
"They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation of it. [AKJV]
Again, they promised to tell the King the interpretation of the king's dream but only if and when the king first tell them his dream. There's some sort of "Bartering One information for another" contemplated in their speech.
These prophets have demonstrated they're incapable of Knowing or Showing the dreams (visions) of the "Dumb" that is neither able to speak nor write. Can your Prophet Tell the Visions (Dreams) of the Dumb, who neither speak nor write? Can your pastor counsel and interpret for such dumb or speechless man/woman? Or is it only to those who can talk that your prophet or pastor can interpret for? Must there be statement before there can be interpretation?
There are those interpreting in another tongue/language what pastors or people are saying in different languages, as in translators. There are also translators or communicators who interpret with sign-languages or signals to the deaf or from the dumb. But the medical researchers have advanced to levels where they could diagnose the secret problems or disease in a dumb, speechless or lifeless patients, away from the manual method of interviewing the patients first to see through the speech of the patients. Do we have enough men of God who can handle such cases of dumb, speechless or muted, persons without written or spoken statements?
Nebuchadnezzar the king presented his case to be treated as a case of a man who saw visions in the night, and became dumb or speechless to reveal what he had seen which basically troubled him in spirit. But shamefully, his prophets were asking him to tell them what he had seen or heard and how he felt, before they could solve his spiritual problem. What if by the visions he suddenly became deaf and dumb or possessed by deaf and dumb spirits, does it mean they could not guess, diagnose or discern what the spiritual problem troubling their king was?
Let's see a case where a man saw a vision/visitation in a temple, and he became dumb or speechless by reason of the Vision he experienced. But none of the priests could tell the visitation or vision that man had that muted him with dumbness though the dumb/speechless man gave them sign or motioning them. Indeed there are visions, visitations or dreams that could leave seers mute, dumb or speechless. Example:
[Luke 1:21-22] — "Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah. They were amazed that he was staying in the temple so long. When he did come out, he was unable to speak to them. So they realized that he had seen a vision in the temple. He motioned to them but remained unable to talk."
Let's see another case in which a woman that came to see the prophet (Elisha) was so heavily weighed down with shock that she froze and was unable to utter any speech for a while as she held the man of God. And while she was briefly speechless, it was expected of the great man of God, Elisha, to use the Word of Knowledge; but Elisha confessed that God hid the knowledge of what troubled her from him being the great prophet of God. So when the woman heard that even the great man of God could not access the word of knowledge into her troubling issue because God shut that Prophet off the secret, she began speaking to give him some clues and with her little clue the Prophet (Elisha) figured or guessed what was troubling her.
Wait, did I say God shut off the man of God? Perhaps I should have rather said the woman's first statement that claimed all was well with her son and husband, confused or deflected the Prophet's Word of Knowledge off from focusing on the woman's son that was not well or alive, but which her words said he was well. This confusion or deflection could also deviate the Word of Knowledge or Prophecy of men of God who are swift at hearing people's speeches first to tell what trouble them over hearing God concerning them. So were the Chaldeans insisting on hearing the king's statement, instead of the prophets asking God for revelation or knowledge so that they would not depend or be confused by the statements those being troubled would give. Elisha's mistake was, when he sent Gehazi ahead to interview the woman and get her statement instead of Elisha asking God first before she even approach or spoke. As it is written,
[2 Kings 4:25-30 FBV] — So she set off, and went to the man of God who was at Mount Carmel. When he saw her way in the distance, the man of God told his servant Gehazi, “Look! There's the Shunammite woman! Please run to meet her and ask her, ‘Is everything fine with you, your husband, and your boy?’” “Everything's fine,” she replied. But when she got to the man of God at the mountain, she grabbed hold of his feet. Gehazi came over to push her away, but the man of God said, “Leave her alone, for she's in terrible misery, but the Lord has hidden it from me and has not explained it to me.” “Did I ask you for a son, my Lord?” she asked. “Didn't I tell you, ‘Don't tell me lies’?” Elisha said to Gehazi, “Tie up your cloak in your belt, pick up my staff, and go! Don't even say hello to anyone you meet, and if anyone says hello to you, don't reply. Place my staff on the boy's face.” But the boy's mother said, “As the Lord lives and as you live, I'm not leaving without you!” So he got up and went with her.
Here's the lesson to learn as ministers of God: — Do not always depend on people's speeches (statements) to see their secrets or troubles, especially when you should rather use your "Word of Knowledge" or "God's Revelation." Attimes, assume they are dumb, speechless or mute, either because they may be unable to speak to you or because they may be telling you different things to cover up the truth within them just as the Shunnamite woman previously made the statement all was fine with her son but it was not, and confused the Elisha's hint; or just as the Samaritan woman previously said, She had no husband, but she had five and lived with a man that was not even her husband, but that did not confuse the Lord Jesus. Again, use reliance on God's Revelation or Word of Knowledge, not reliance on the statements from those you are trying to diagnose or heal.
