EZEKIEL 2:1

AND HE said to me [Ezekiel], Son of man, stand upon your feet and I will speak to you. [Ezekiel 2:1 AMPC]

“Son of man,” He said to me, “stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.” [BSB]

Having differentiated between "Man-Like" and "Man-Kind," behold the "Man-Like Being" (God) on the Throne began to address and call the "Man-Kind Being" (Ezekiel), "Son of man."

Let's arrange this discourse under four points:

*1* Point 1 — When He is "Man-Like," do not become the man, rather take a lower rank and become "Son of man."

This means, do not try to drag "Who's the Man" with God as Becky Lynch tried proving she's "the man." Remember that God is Man-Like while you are Mankind; and that makes God "The Man" in wrestling or in war better than you are, and then you are son of man to the Greatest Man in Wrestling or War. As it is written,

[Exodus 15:3] — "The LORD is a Man of war: Jehovah is His Name."

Remember in the Fire of His Glory on the Throne, He's "Man-Like," but there's another Part of Him that is "Son of Man-Like."

[Daniel 7:13] — "I saw in the night visions, and, behold, One like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him."

It's the "Son of Man - Like" and not the "Man-Like" aspect of God that is the Weakness of God and that was crucified among men as the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Nevertheless, this is written:

[1 Corinthians 1:25] — "...the Weakness of God is stronger than men."

[2 Corinthians 13:4 BLB'16] — "For indeed He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God’s power. For we also are weak in Him, but we will live with Him by God’s power toward you."

*2* Point 2 — He called Ezekiel "Son of man," and Ezekiel wrote He spoke to me. So Ezekiel knew he was the specific one being addressed by such generic term.

God can use a generic name or collective noun to refer to just a single individual in the group; and He can also use a private name of an individual to refer to Multitude of people. For example, in a group of women, He can call you "Woman" and you will know He's referring to you among women, while others are not called. Either you are the only woman among those women that heard His calling Voice, or a Spirit from Him enters you as soon as He called you.

*3* Point 3 — He already saying something to Ezekiel but spoke about His will or intention of speaking to whom He was already talking to.

You may experience when someone who's talking to you say, "I want to talk or speak to you;" and wondered because he/she is already talking or speaking to you but still wants to talk to you.

In that case, the person is implying you should adjust, brace up, be in better mode for the conversation, be more attentive/ready.

The saying God made to the Son of man in this Bible verse above is just a preparation for the Speaking or Message God was about to tell him next. Is like "Verily, Verily, Truly, Truly, I tell you." And Ezekiel was expected to observe certain preparatory measure to begin hearing God's Speech (Message) to him beyond just hearing God's Voice to him.

*4* Point 4 — The Voice of God came to prepare the Son of man hear what God is Saying to the churches, and not just what God is saying to the Son of man (individual); and the preparation required him to stand up from lying prostrate or fallen on that ground.

Hearing God is more important than prostrating before Him in a fallen state before Him. Do not always rank falling or bowing down before higher than standing or sitting uprightly before Him. There are places and times the LORD wants His People to stand, and not fall/bow, so that God can use them.
