RIVER PISHON BECAME ORNAMENT TO THE LAND OF HAVILAH
GENESIS 2:11
[NKJV]
The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.
[AMP]
The first [river] is named Pishon; it flows around the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.
The River that went out of Eden to water the Garden, both divided and multiplied into four heads or four rivers because they had four different destinations and different landmarks to fulfilling their calling or purpose after the common purpose of watering the Garden. What kept them together in their journey to water the Garden on their way out of Eden, was replaced with their different destinations, callings, landmarks and journey purposes, after they unitedly fulfilled watering the Garden of Eden.
The first of them to divide away on course, and to find its separate path and landmarks, was named "Pishon."
That "Division" was also "Multiplication." In human arithmetics, Division is opposite/inverse to Multiplication; but in the spiritual realms of higher wisdom, there are "Multiplications" that come by "Divisions" or "Breakings Asunder." E.g. Before the Lord Jesus multiplied the Bread, He first broke the Bread asunder.
In the Bible verse above, the "First Part of the Broken River" was identified by two things, which were:
*1* Described by its Name - "Pishon"
*2* Described by its last known Destination - "Land of Havilah"
The story of Pishon, the first named River outside Eden, is interestingly glorifying the land of Havilah above any other land or even waters outside the Garden of Eden. So "Pishon" was always leaving both Eden and its collective waterbody, to travel all the way just to come be with or settle around the whole entire land of Havilah, perhaps went no further again beyond the land.
The fact it circled or compassed the land of Havilah meant the Land of Havilah was the River's "Compass" and "Compassion:" And perhaps Pishon rejoined itself again after surrounding the land of Havilah.
Since the story of Pishon glorified the land of Havilah, let's see it from Havilah's perspective.
Havilah was the name of two men after the Flood of Noah, which meant even after the flood there was still this River Pishon from Eden. The flood did not nullify/modify the top Bible verse above.
The first man with the name, Havilah, was a son of Ethiopia (Cush) or nephew to Egypt (Genesis 10:7); descendants of Ham. The second man with the name, Havilah, was a descendant of Shem whom Noah blessed the most among all his sons. This second Havilah had a brother called "Ophir" [Genesis 10:29]. The Gold of Havilah and the Gold of Ophir are among the best quality Gold.
The Land of Havilah therefore attracted and retained these riches that formed major Landmarks to the Land of Havilah:
** Gold
** Bdellium
** Onyx Stone
** Pishon, the first River outside Eden.
Therefore, the Land of Havilah was the first Promised Land or Promising Land outside Eden. Before the land of Canaan rose to be a land of milk and honey used as a Promisedland or Promising Land, the Land of Havilah rose to be a Land of Gold and Precious Stones, and to which the first River, Pishon, became a Landmark.
