1 ADAM+EVE 14 - {The First Book of Adam and Eve 14}
Theme of Chapter 14: β
THE EARLIEST PROPHECY OF THE COMING OF CHRIST.
β *ΒΉΒ· Then Adam said to God: "O Lord, take You my soul, and let me not see this gloom any more; or remove me to some place where there is no darkness."
β *Β²Β· But God the Lord said to Adam, "Indeed I say to you, this darkness will pass from you, every day I have determined for you, until the fulfillment of My covenant; when I will save you and bring you back again into the garden, into the house of light you long for, in which there is no darkness*. I will bring you to itβin the kingdom of heaven."
β *Β³Β· Again said God to Adam, "All this misery that you have been made to take on yourself because of your transgression, will not free you from the hand of Satan, and will not save you.
β *β΄Β· But I will. When I shall come down from heaven, and shall become flesh of your descendants, and take on Myself the infirmity from which you suffer, then the darkness that covered you in this cave shall cover Me in the grave, when I am in the flesh of your descendants.
β *β΅Β· And I, who am without years, shall be subject to the reckoning of years, of times, of months, and of days, and I shall be reckoned as one of the sons of men, in order to save you."
β *βΆΒ· And God ceased to commune with Adam.
1 ADAM+EVE 14:1 β Then Adam said to God: "O Lord, take You my soul, and let me not see this gloom any more; or remove me to some place where there is no darkness."
This was neither acceptance speech from Adam, nor is it now acceptance speech in my commentary. But this was one of the most important prayers Adam made for mankind, which was factored into the importance of God taking or removing the souls of righteous mankind into the realms of light β Heaven β where there's no darkness after death. It's not just about "Dust return to dust;" but has become about "Soul removed from the dust of darkness and taken into the realms of light" at death of Adam.
This prayer of Adam here is different from the prayer of Job in the Bible references below. For Adam was praying and hoping God to make him die and go to a place of light where he would never see darkness again, while Job was praying and hoping God to make him die and go to a place of darkness where he would never see light again. As it is written,
[Job 10:21-22] β "Before I go from where I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death; A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness."
[Job 3:20-23] β "Why is light given to him that is in misery, and life to the bitter in soul; Which long for death, but it comes not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures; Which rejoice exceedingly, and are glad, when they can find the grave? Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God has hedged in?"
Thus, Job was experiencing "Outer Darkness" when he rejected light and preferred darkness over having light; but Adam was experiencing"Gloomy Darkness" when he rejected darkness and preferred light over having darkness. Even so, there are living creatures that feel bad when it's light or day because they prefer it to be night or darkness, and there are also living creatures that feel bad when it's darkness or night because they prefer it to be day or light. There's difference between "Outer Darkness" and "Gloomy Darkness:"
β* β Outer Darkness afflicts victims with Light by exposing hidden things, revealing secrets, or manifesting knowledge/truths, in ways that hit the victims with bitterness, pains, regrets, shame, conscience/heart condemning oneself etc, and the victims would desire to hide but cannot hide, neither can they take cover in darkness from getting exposed further to all. Therefore, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
β* β Gloomy Darkness afflicts victims with Darkness by blindness, hiding things, mystifying, terrorizing, or confusing, in ways that hit the victims with fears, pains, threats, uncertainty, gropes, hopelessness, lack of knowledge, etc, and the victims would desire to see but cannot see, neither can they cast out veils covering their visions/sightings. Therefore, they are vulnerable to evils, and they easily stumble and fall.
1 ADAM+EVE 14:2 β But God the Lord said to Adam, "Indeed I say to you, this darkness will pass from you, every day I have determined for you, until the fulfillment of My covenant; when I will save you and bring you back again into the garden, into the house of light you long for, in which there is no darkness*. I will bring you to itβin the kingdom of heaven."
It's confirmed to Adam that it would not end in "Dust return to dust," but end in the Salvation of God through the Lord Jesus Christ wherein Adam and the souls of righteous mankind shall be delivered from the dust and darkness into the House of Light, which is, "The Kingdom of Heaven" that was first mentioned in the book of Adam and Eve here.
Therefore, that prayer of Adam, known as Adam's Desire in this verse, was granted, but pending the fulfilling of God's covenant "New Covenant" in the Son of God, Jesus Christ crucified. Thanks to this Reality of Moving us from "Darkness into Light." As it is written,
[Colossians 1:12-14] β "Giving thanks to the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:"
[1 Peter 2:9-10] β "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy."
1 ADAM+EVE 14:3 β Again said God to Adam, "All this misery that you have been made to take on yourself because of your transgression, will not free you from the hand of Satan, and will not save you.
No amount of paying for sin frees a sinner from Satan the devil, neither does certain amount of suffering and grieving for the mistake enough to deliver one from Satan. If they could, then by now those who have been suffering in hell fire for thousands of years should have suffered enough and be freed. Therefore, discountenance the doctrines of "Purgatory" or "Penance."
Nevertheless, suffering for sin frees a man from sin. Meaning suffering for sin will set a man free from that sin and get him liberated from that particular sin's lust, addiction or guilt.
[1 Peter 4:1-2] β "For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind:for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God."
[Romans 6:6-7] β "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin."
Therefore behold the difference between "Set free from Sin" and "Set free from Satan."
Getting set free from Sin does not mean getting set free from Satan. Satan does not release his prisoners, neither does the devil set anyone free from his captivity, even if the captive (prisoner) has suffered enough and paid fully for his sins [Isaiah 14:17]. Therefore to set anyone free from Satan the Devil, requires more than being free from Sin to requiring having the Stronger Man than Satan to defeat Satan and then plunder or spoil Satan by taking away those prisoners of Satan and setting them free. Jesus Christ the Son of God is the Strongest Man, and the Savior: and if the Son shall set you free, you shall be free indeed (John 8:36). As it is written:
[Mark 3:26-27] β "And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but has an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house."
This is why "No Muslim or believer in Islam" shall be delivered from Satan unless by the Son of God and Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord. Look, why God was telling Adam that in this Adam+Eve Verse above, is to make it clear to Adam that his deliverance or salvation is bigger than his own righteousness and suffering for sin. His Salvation is way too much bigger than his righteousness. Someone has to come to deliver Adam and mankind from Satan, and He who is to come is God Himself manifest as Jesus Christ the Son of God and Son of man.
So no matter how much a righteous man or a good Muslim has been, he must still need Jesus Christ to be saved or delivered from second Death and from Satan. Who men say Jesus Christ is to them, impacts directly to how much He can save or do for them:
β β*β If men (or Muslims) say or believe Jesus Christ is a Prophet but not the Son of God, Jesus Christ would only do for them what a prophet can do and nothing else. And that position of a prophet cannot deliver a man from Satan. Even John the Baptist held a position greater than or more than a prophet to be able to prepare the Way for the Lord because a prophet cannot do what John the Baptist was called to do [Luke 7:26-27]. So Muslims who say they respect Jesus Christ as a Prophet of God have greatly reduced or insulted Jesus Christ to a position of a prophet, which was less than John the Baptist. Jesus Christ as merely a prophet cannot deliver or save you from Satan or death, nor rise from the dead on His own.
β β**β If men (or Jehovah's witnesses) say or believe Jesus Christ is an Angel or first created of God but not the Son of God, Jesus Christ would only do for them what an Angel can do and nothing else. And that position of an Angel higher than Lucifer the Cherub held can deliver a man from Satan when it's unlawful, but the same position of an Angel cannot deliver a man from Satan when it is lawful. It therefore means, for any great angel of God to succeed in saving or delivering any man from Satan, the Angel(s) would first check the Law of God or the Constitution: if the Law empowered Satan to hold the man in captivity within the law, the Angels cannot go against the Law themselves to save/deliver the man less the Angels become transgressors of the Law themselves, like fallen angels.
β β***β If men (or true Christians) say or believe Jesus Christ is God Himself manifest in Flesh as the Son of God or Son of man, Jesus Christ becomes their Lord and Savior to the uttermost and fullness, with or without the Law. Jesus Christ does not consider what the Law is saying before saving or delivering any one from Satan, so that whether it's lawful for Satan to hold them captive by any law, choices, agreement, covenant or oath, they made earlier with Satanists or the devil, immediately they believe and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ crucified, the Son of God, to save or deliver them, He comes in and delivers them breaking laws or protocols to set them free indeed. As it is written,
[Isaiah 49:24-26] β "Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus said the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with you, and I will save your children. And I will feed them that oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."
That phrase, "The Mighty One of Jacob" also means "He is a Descendant of Jacob, or a Son of man from Jacob's Lineage." So the same God who is the LORD, the Savior, the Redeemer, is the Son of man, the Man of Jacob, the Man of Nazareth, that Man of Galilee.
Not as if He breaks His Law to save or deliver, but that He fulfilled or finished the Law by His death on the Cross when He said, "It is finished." Therefore, rising from the dead He does not have to look at the Law anymore to do anything. There's nothing left in the Law for Jesus Christ to fulfill again after His Resurrection. His resurrection means He's now in a side or levels where "NoPro-Death Law" or "No Pre-Death Law" can apply to Him any longer. He is now above the Law, and above all laws.
[Colossians 2:14-15] β "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
[Galatians 3:13-14] β "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
1 ADAM+EVE 14:4 β But I will. When I shall come down from heaven, and shall become flesh of your descendants, and take on Myself the infirmity from which you suffer, then the darkness that covered you in this cave shall cover Me in the grave, when I am in the flesh of your descendants.
God Himself "Will" be the One to deliver both Adam and Mankind from Satan the Devil. Yes, God Himself would come down from heaven, and would become flesh as the "Son of man," taking flesh from a descendant of Adam to become flesh Himself (Another Adam) just as He (God) had earlier taken a bone from Adam to make a woman (Female Adam) out of Adam's Body before.
By taking the flesh of a descendant of Adam, all the infirmity and suffering that Adam experienced will be transferred or transmitted into God made flesh. Then He God too will be covered in darkness within the grave, just as He had covered Satan, fallen angels and Adam, in darkness. This means God would have dropped His bright Nature, by commending His Spirit into the Hand of God the Father. So that when He descended He descended into the lower parts of hell without His Brightness and under darkness in a Cave that was also grave for Him, as Adam felt.
[Philippians 2:5-8] β "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took on Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross."
Therefore that season was the season of the powers of darkness, when theLight of the World Himself (Jesus Christ) was covered in darkness under a bushel (grave), like total eclipse of the Sun. Not just the three hours of darkness that happened while he lived on the cross, and He felt the Father had forsaken Him; but also that darkness covering Him when He was inside that Grave of His that was sealed close without any Light or Lamp inside the cave of His grave.
[Luke 22:53] β "When I was daily with you in the temple, you stretched forth no hands against Me: but this is your hour, and thepower of darkness."
1 ADAM+EVE 14:5 β And I, who am without years, shall be subject to the reckoning of years, of times, of months, and of days, and I shall be reckoned as one of the sons of men, in order to save you."
The Lord God Himself became subject to Times and Seasons, as One of us in order to save us. How much "Under"or "Subjection" are you willing to come in order to save a man or men? Can you put yourself under the subjection of any yoke in order to go extra mile for the saving of a soul?
The Lord God came under subjection or submission to many things, not to earn money, but to save souls.
** He was Timeless and Eternal, meaning He had immortality. But He subjected or submitted Himself into mortality, meaning He could now die like a man and He knew He had but a short time. Someone that could never die before, began to worry about death, aging and days of His years, because He wanted to save man. How many angels can give up their immortality for mankind to be saved? Can a man even lay down his own life for sinners to be saved?
[Isaiah 53:8] β "He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare His generation? for He was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of My people was He stricken."
1 ADAM+EVE 14:6 β And God ceased to commune with Adam.
Though God had not finish talking with them, God stopped talking with them. What They had discussed so far was enough for the while they needed to ponder and adjust to what they had learnt from God so far. There was a moment of "Selah" as used in the book of Psalms. "Selah" meant "Pause" as in suspension. God Selah communing with Adam and Eve, who went their way praising and worshiping God with a sorrowful heart.
The Sweet Communion of God be with us forever. Amen.
