1 ADAM+EVE 7 - {The First Book of Adam and Eve 7}
Theme of Chapter 7: —
THE BEASTS ARE RECONCILED.
№ *1· WHEN Adam and Eve heard these words from God, they wept and sobbed yet more; but they strengthened their hearts in God, because they now felt that the Lord was to them like a father and a mother; and for this very reason, they wept before Him, and sought mercy from Him.
№ *2·Then God had pity on them, and said: "O Adam, I have made My covenant with thee, and I will not turn from it; neither will I let thee return to the garden, until My covenant of the great five days and a half is fulfilled."
№ *3·Then Adam said unto God, "O Lord, Thou didst create us, and make us fit to be in the garden; and before I transgressed, Thou madest all beasts come to me, that I should name them.
№ *4· "Thy grace was then on me; and I named every one according to Thy mind; and Thou madest them all subject unto me.
№ *5· "But now, O Lord God, that I have transgressed Thy commandment, all beasts will rise against me and will devour me, and Eve Thy handmaid; and will cut off our life from the face of the earth.
№ *6· "I therefore beseech Thee, O God, that, since Thou hast made us come out of the garden, and hast made us be in a strange land, Thou wilt not let the beasts hurt us."
№ *7· When the Lord heard these words from Adam, He had pity on him, and felt that he had truly said that the beasts of the field would rise and devour him and Eve, because He, the Lord, was angry with them two on account of their transgression.
№ *8· Then God commanded the beasts, and the birds, and all that moves upon the earth, to come to Adam and to be familiar with him, and not to trouble him and Eve; nor yet any of the good and righteous among their posterity.
№ *9· Then the beasts did obeisance to Adam, according to the commandment of God; except the serpent, against which God was wroth. It did not come to Adam, with the beasts.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:1] —WHEN Adam and Eve heard these words from God, they wept and sobbed yet more; but they strengthened their hearts in God, because they now felt that the Lord was to them like a father and a mother; and for this very reason, they wept before Him, and sought mercy from Him.
When God had done in exposing and explaining the mystery of their iniquity to them, the words God had spoken to them caused them to weep. And the weeping in turn caused their heart to become better and stronger in the Lord. This Godly sorrow and sadness from the Word performed better work in their heart and in their repentance. As it is written,
[Ecclesiastes 7:3] — "Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better."
[2 Corinthians 7:9-10 BSB'19] — "And now I rejoice, not because you were made sorrowful, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you felt the sorrow that God had intended, and so were not harmed in any way by us. Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."
However, sorrow and grief were not the only feeling Adam and Eve felt after perceiving the convictions and exposing power of God's Words; for there was a new feeling they also began to feel coming from God or the Comforter (Holy Spirit) — That new feeling under the grief and sorrows from the convictions and exposition of the acts and motives of their sin was the feeling of the Fatherhood and Motherhood of God to Adam and Eve, and to mankind. Adam and Eve began to perceive God as both the Father and tho Mother to them, who meant well for His/Her Children, and rejoice seeing His/Her Son and Daughter becoming all the great and perfect people a Father/Mother desires for the Son or Daughter. This helped the First Man and the First Woman to experience Fatherly and Motherly Love directly from God Himself.
They moved from only seeing God as the Righteous Judge, to seeing God as the greatest Father and Mother, in their grievous moment of sorrows and regrets for their sin and foolishness. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit as the Comforter was more pronounced and more real when God was exposing and convicting their sins and ways. This is why Grace and Truth must come together. Do not bring truth without grace, lest you minister just condemnation upon the penitential sinners. Grace and Truth is of the fullness of the Word of God made flesh among men. For the feelings released on the sinners hearing the Words of God from you are also important to their convictions, conversion and attraction to God.
Therefore, Adam and Eve could further approach God their Father and Mother, and ask for mercy in the same God they offended and provoked.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:2] —Then God had pity on them, and said: "O Adam, I have made My covenant with thee, and I will not turn from it; neither will I let thee return to the garden, until My covenant of the great five days and a half is fulfilled."
God had pity (as a Father or Mother has pity) on them. But even in pity for them, God would not turn from the covenant He made with them pertaining the life sentence of 5,500 years before Adam and Eve would be returned into Paradise in the same Day Jesus Christ died, or the same Jesus Christ said, "Today you shall be with Me in paradise."That same day was when Adam and Eve finally got to be allowed into Garden of God (Holy City) or Heavenly Paradise, together with all the Righteous and Saints who were in the grave (hell) together with those in Abraham's bosom and all saints who had gone into death before the Messiah, God as the Son, came to them in death. As it is written,
[Matthew 27:50-54] — "When Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He yielded up His spirit. At that moment the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth quaked and the rocks were split. The tombs broke open, and the bodies of many saints who had fallen asleep were raised. After Jesus’ resurrection, when they had come out of the tombs, they entered the holy city and appeared to many people. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified and said, “Truly this was the Son of God.”"
So God's pity for mankind would rather make God to keep His Covenant with them no matter how much longer it takes, than for God's pity to ease or change things for them against the covenant with them. So the greatest pity of God to any man is in fulfilling the greatest covenant (new covenant) of God with that man in Blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
You how human pity/compassion for men is many times contrary to God's pity/compassion for those men: — Human compassion or pity for men do not usually point those men to the Cross or Covenant in Jesus Christ the Savior, Healer and Answer to all things, while trying to help those men out of their problems or provide solutions to them. But God's Compassion and Pity points men to the Cross or Covenant consummated in Jesus Christ crucified, which was about 5,500 years to come from Adam and Eve but now about 2,000 years ago to us in this generation.
There's no greater pity, compassion or love, for your fellow human being that is greater than bringing him/her to the fulfilling of God's covenant with mankind (Immanuel-God with us), fulfilled in Jesus Christ crucified.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:3] —Then Adam said unto God, "O Lord, Thou didst create us, and make us fit to be in the garden; and before I transgressed, Thou madest all beasts come to me, that I should name them.
All the Beasts were made and brought to Adam for their names, because God did not want the man to be alone in the Garden. Note that all the Beasts were made because Adam was made, and all the Beasts were brought up into the Garden of God because Adam was brought up into the Garden, and all the Beasts got their names through Adam because they were to be subject to mankind. However, as Man was the reason all the Beasts were brought into the Garden, but was also the reason all the Beasts lost the Garden. The fall of mankind was also the fall of the Beasts. So the transgression of the man also damaged lots of things for all the Beasts also, and pains of child bearing on the Woman was also on the females among the beasts in bringing forth their offspring.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:4] —"Thy grace was then on me; and I named every one according to Thy mind; and Thou madest them all subject unto me.
Grace of God on Adam then enabled him to know the mind of God for all the animals and to give them the name God had in Mind to call them. It was both a way of making Adam theProphet of God to all living creatures of the ground in the Garden, and also a way for bringing all the living creatures of the ground into subjection to the Man, seeing the Grace of God upon him and his depth in communicating the Mind of God to all the Beasts or living creatures of the ground. That grace of God on Adam was spiritual gift in the Word of Knowledge and Discernment,
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:5] —"But now, O Lord God, that I have transgressed Thy commandment, all beasts will rise against me and will devour me, and Eve Thy handmaid; and will cut off our life from the face of the earth.
Because of the transgression of Adam, the ground was cursed for Adam's sake and it began to rebel against mankind, bearing thorns and thistles. But not only the ground, but also the beasts of the field had enmity between them and mankind who made their lives terrible by the transgression of Adam and Eve. Yes, God put enmity between the woman and the serpent, but there was bitterness among the Beasts of the ground also. Even the worms and diseases were emboldened to attack and destroy man to death or in death. Generally, attitudes change into threats and hostilities among animals, and in-between beasts and mankind.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:6] —"I therefore beseech Thee, O God, that, since Thou hast made us come out of the garden, and hast made us be in a strange land, Thou wilt not let the beasts hurt us."
In a strange land, even the Beasts you once knew and name can be strange to you and you strange to them. What mankind once had with the Beasts inside the Garden of Eden was severed without the Garden of Eden.
But Adam beseeched the Lord God to put immunity on him and his wife, so they may remain untouchable (unharmed) to the Beasts of no nation in the strange land of enmity, conflicts and strifes.
As Adam and Eve prayed God to keep them safe from danger and from their enemies in the land, so do we pray God to preserve us from enemies after our lives.
[2 Samual 22:4] — "I will call on the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies."
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:7] —When the Lord heard these words from Adam, He had pity on him, and felt that he had truly said that the beasts of the field would rise and devour him and Eve, because He, the Lord, was angry with them two on account of their transgression.
The anger of God towards mankind had ways of manifesting in the attitude of the Beasts towards mankind. God felt that when Adam mentioned that.
The words Adam spoke to God concerning how the Beasts of the strange land would feel towards the vulnerable mankind also arouse in God both the feeling of pity and the feeling of true sense in what Adam said about the Beasts attacking, rising and devouring Adam and Eve, resulting from the Lord's anger against Adam and Eve for their sin.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:8] —Then God commanded the beasts, and the birds, and all that moves upon the earth, to come to Adam and to be familiar with him, and not to trouble him and Eve; nor yet any of the good and righteous among their posterity.
God has given all His living creatures of the earth charge concerning Adam, Eve and their good and righteous offspring, to neither trouble nor attack the righteous and the good among men. This was greater than shutting the mouth of the lions to not harm Daniel in the lion's den.
[Proverbs 16:7] — "When a man's ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."
God did not give the flesh of mankind to the Beasts, and not given the flesh of the Beasts to mankind. Behold, God commanded all the Beasts not to trouble Adam and Eve with their godly offspring, except the Serpent that was exempted from that Command since God already put enmity between the Serpent and the Woman, and between their Seeds.
[1 ADAM+EVE 7:9] —Then the beasts did obeisance to Adam, according to the commandment of God; except the serpent, against which God was wroth. It did not come to Adam, with the beasts.
Behold, God again put some honor into Adam in the presence of all the Beasts after the fall of man. According to the Commandment of God, all the Beasts bowed down to Adam except the Serpent that was cursed. The Beasts bowed down to show their respect to Adam, not Adam bowing down to any of the Beasts. This was the Ranking Order and according Commandment of God.
Similarly, when God brought forth His Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, God commanded all the angels of heaven to bow down to the Son and worship Him (Hebrews 1:6).
Again, God has highly exalted the Son of man, Jesus Christ, and given Him a Name above all names, commanding every knee in heaven, on earth and under earth, to bow to the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Amen.
